Chiropractic Q & A

How long does it usually take to relieve pain?

Our average patient is out of pain in one to seven treatments. The fastest pain relief is obtained by combining Chiropractic and/or Acupuncture and Physical Medicine / Therapeutic Procedures. Our doctors are Board Certified in Physical Medicine / Therapeutic Procedures which include electric muscle stimulation, ultrasound, intersegmental traction therapy, and various modalities to get the fastest pain relief.

In most cases, we are able to offer treatment on the first visit in an effort to get you feeling better as quickly as possible.

Why do some Chiropractors routinely recommend 52 treatments or more?

You will not receive an appointment sheet with 52 future visits on it from our office! Even with 25 years of experience, we cannot predict exactly how long a condition will take to heal, but we have a good idea. Everyone responds differently to care and there are many factors that come into consideration such as age, overall health, the length of time the condition has existed, and how closely you follow the recommended treatment plan. When you combine Chiropractic, Physical Medicine / Therapeutic Procedures, and/or Acupuncture, pain relief is much faster. We do not have a crystal ball, but our extensive experience allows us to recommend a treatment plan based on logical findings, continually adjusted according to your response to treatment. Remember - how long you want to benefit from treatment is always up to you!

Are x-rays always required?

No. In our office, x-rays are only required if they are medically necessary for your specific condition. We have on-site x-ray for your convenience. All x-rays are taken and interpreted by our doctors.

What if I need an MRI or blood tests?

Our doctors are qualified to order and interpret both MRI examinations and blood tests.
